To use Blender efficiently its best having one hand at the keyboard and the other hand at your three button mouse. A lot of actions are combinations of keyboard and mouse events. May be this sounds strange to you. A steep learning curve before you, but it is worth the effort. Blender documentation and tutorials have its own notation for this keyboards and mouse events.

•  XKEY press letter X on the keyboard.
•  ALT-P press the Alt key simultaneously the letter P on the keyboard
•  LMB left mouse button
•  RBM right mouse button
